                     Today we are comparing the Book The Westing game and the movie The westing game. I personally thoght the book was much better and the movie was not as good. One reason i liked the book better was it had so much more detail and you always new what was going on. In the book It was like have of the story that you read. That is why I liked the book better.

                      There are many reasons why I did not like the movie. The movie did not have alot of detail so it was hard to understand things. There were so many good parts that the movie left out that were in the book. It seemed liked everything went so quick that by the time you thought a bought one idea another part of the movie passed. That is whyi did no like the movie.  

June 6 2007 - Current event

                   My areticle is about the Mets last game they played. Tom Glavine was pitching. He gave a great performance only giving up 2 runs in 7 innings. The game was tied 2 to 2 and had to go in extra innings. In the eleventh inning they put in Pedro Feliciano to get out the phillies big left handed hitters. Pedro was only letting lefties bat 0.87 against him. So aginst Chase Utley on the second pitch gave up a solo homerun and then a single to Ryan Howard. They took him out and put in Joe Smith who gave up a RBI single to Abreham Nunez. The Mets lost 4 to 2 in 11 innings.   

June 5 2007

                     Today each group had to come up with there own project for the end of the year. My favorite idea we came up with was making our own ballpark. It would have to do with math, social studies, health and science. The project would envolve math because we would have to do all the measurments between bases and how far back the walls would be. It  would envolve social studies because we would make memorials outside the stadium and retired numbers on the outfield walls. It would envolve health because of the food sold at the game. It would also envolve science because of puting down the grass and taking care of it. The stadium will be called Cracker Barrel stadium. That is the project i would like to do.

               There is only 15 days of school left. I can't believe this year has gone so quick. Also today we get to pick our seats so we can sit next to  whoever we want. Bye.

The Picture

 One day when Bob was playing basketball outside his little sister came up to him. She said " here I found this picture that you can have." When he saw this picture Bob almost fainted. Bob ripped up the picture, crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage. His sister did not care because she has the picture saved copies of the picture and Bob didn't know about that. Bob was expecting the picture to be back but it was never brought up again by his sister. When Bob finally forgot about the picture it came back and this time no one will forget about it.

               When Bob got to school his jaw dropped open because on the front door was a blown up version of the picture. After that happened Bob started ditching school and he got away with for about 4 days. The fifth day the principal called home and asked if Bob was home sick and the parents replied " No he is leaving for school every day." The principal hung up and she knew he was playing hooky. When The Principal found him she said " If you ever ditch school again you will be EXPELLED!!!!!!."

               The first day back to school he was teased, laughed at and made fun of. Bob hated school but if he missed one class he will be expelled. Then he relized that his sister did this to him. He asked his sister if she did it and she said " No ." It couldn't be her she never lies so it was someone who could go on my sister's computor. I wonder who could it be? I got my sister's best friend to ask her the same question and she got the same answer. There could be one other person who could possisbly know my sister's laptop password and that was Dave. Dave spies on everybody and knows almost every secret code. Also we were worst enemies and really hated me so much that he would do that.

             Personaly If I had to choose between buying a new projector or buying a new light bulb I would choose the new projector. I would prefer a new projector because if one bulb lasted for six years another one would work for another six years. Next by then the old projecteor will be 12 years out of date. Also if you buy a projector it comes with 2 light bulbs so you would not have to buy a extra light bulb. Finally, if you buy a new projector it is almost like two projectors because you can put a light bulb in one that doesn't have one. That is why i would buy a new projector.

          Hello sorry I have not written in a while but I have a good reason. Last week I was away on vacation. I went to Las Casitas, Puerto Rico. It was so fun we went swimming, kayaking to a bay that would glow at night, we went to the beach were we saw a rooster and a bird with one eye and I even tried tennis and golf on a pro course. Are room was not in the hotel we got a villa which is like a house. It was a very fun and hot vacation.

        There are many things I want to be when I grow up but my favorite one is being a pitcher for the Mets. Here are reasons are the reasons want to be a pitcher for the Mets.

       Pitching is a skill only a couple people possess and I am good at it. Pitching consists of a lot thinking and physical ability. Also, you have to know more then just pitching you have to memorize all the catchers' signs. You also need to know how to back up home on throws, back up third and first and cover home on a wild pitch. It also reqiures to have a good pace because you can't pitch as hard as you can all game because you will get tired. That is what pitchin consists of.     

         First of all playing baseball is one of my favorite things to do because it is so fun. Next playing sports has a lot of fun positians but of all of them pitching is my favorite. I love to pitch because you can make the ball do crazy things like brake a couple inches from the plate and make hitters look bad. I also like to pitch because I can throw pretty hard and accurate and I enjoy striking people out. That is why I like pitching. 

       That is why I would want to be a pitcher for the mets and only the mets.

        I play a lot of sports but my favorite sport is baseball. Baseball reqiures a lot of different skills like pitching, catching, playing first base and outfield. It is also very fun because it is more about skill then physical ability. I am not the strongest but I still have a lot of fun playing. You also have to use your mind to know where you are going with the ball. It is also more of a team sport then in my opinion any other sport. Those are the reasons baseball is my favorite sports.

A brick wall 10 feet wide 12.5 inches high and 4 inches thick

       Once there was a man who owned his own shop with no workers. He owned a shop were people can get stray house parts but is having no success. He will be in big trouble because he has to support his wife and 2 kids. "If only I could get my hands on some bricks" the owner thought because brick was very rare and valuabal. The owner would pray every night to get some good money the next day but never got any customers. The owner was thinking abot quiting and getting a new job. He was reading at the job section at his desk when he realized this huge brick wall. He went in to get it measured and it was 10 feet wide, 12.5 inches high and 4 inches thick. That was worth about 20,000 dollars in the town he lived in. The owner just kept the wall in the window and everyone wanted to buy products from his store which he named "bricks A hoy". When people asked can I buy some brick and he would sell them a portion of it untill it was gone. When it was gone the owner was rich and he retired and his son John took over. the people were so angry the next few years because they found they bought fake brick that was made out of concrete. It was true the owner told his son and the real brick wall is in the mysterious closet in the wall. John began to try to sell the brick but know one believed him so everyone started shopping at "houses rule" there enemy store. John had to prove that the bricks were real and by that time the price for bricks went up. Then all of a sudden the stock of brick fell and the stock of iron rose. It just so happened that john's grandfather used to search for iron ore's and still had a lot of them. They started selling them and became the richest people in the town. They ended up keeping the wall as a thing to pass down from feneration to generation. One day John's great great grandson was not interested in the market so he throught the wall out. John even though he was old went searching untill 3 months later he found it everyone was as happy as ever. JOhn never gave the wall back to his great great grandson. The wall is now built into John's basement.

       I prefer to work outside because of many reasons. First, it is always nice to get fresh air instead of being stuck in the same desk all day. When were outside I think it is easier to pay attention because nothing distracts you. It's nice to go outside because you relax and it seems easier to do work. Being outside you get to have so much room because you take one thing out instead of having a desk in front of you. The only time of the year I would not like to go outside is when it is snowing or there is a heat wave. That is what I think about going outside.

   Today we had buddy day. Buddy day is when we fifth graders got paired up with sixth graders and go to period 2 through 4 and we get to see the school. My buddies name was Matt. First period we had ELA and are teacher was Dr. Natalie. I did not get one thing that the teacher was talking about. Next period we went to gym. At gym we went wave boarding which is like skateboarding except has 2 wheels. It is much harder than it looks. Than we went to lunch. I kept my 5 dollars in my shoe so I could buy lunch. For lunch I bought a slice of pizza and a Snapple. Then we had to leave and I left my pen in his locker. I thought it was fun.

                 Sorry I have not written in a while be cause of the vacation. Over the vacation I stayed at home and had alot of play dates with my friends. They live 2 houses away from me so we go over each others houses a lot. At my house when we were playing basketball wanted to dunk it so we lowered the hoop to 7 feet 5 inches. Then we got a little chair and we would jump off the chairs and do like windmills and behind the back dunks it was so fun. When I went over there house we played wiffle ball and it was pretty easy to hit a homerun I probably hit 6 or 7. When I played 1 on 1 I always got crushed because I could not get control of my 12 - 6 curve and splitter.

Guess what the book report I told you about now it is due after the break so I have a lot of time. Today we are going on a field trip unfortunately I do not know where we are going. The break is tomorrow and I am very excited.

         Hey sorry I have not written in a while but I really don't that much to say except that we have a lot of practice for the play. I am a monkey and we pretty know our song. That is about it.

        Guess what I found out what team I am on for baseball. I am on the Phillies. But they put me in the wrong league. I'm with the 10 year olds and I am 11.I am really angry. This year we have to use wooden bats for some reason. Also, the tryouts are today eventhough everyone makes the team it is just to help the coaches have the draft.

        My basketball hoop still did not come yet. I'm very angry becauuse we ordered it a month ago and it still hasn't come. They say it's because of the weather but some days it was nice out. 

Febuary14 2007 - Homework

       This is is my reaction to tha article about Pythons. I was surprised that lettingt animals back into the envirerment was dangerous to other animals. First I was surprised that one of the biggest snakes in the world was a popular pet. I was also surprised that bringing the python into a national park if you don't want it anymore was dangerous. Finally, I was surprised that the park rangers use a 2 year old beagle to track the python down. That is why I find the article surprising.

        P.S. today is Valentines day.

       The  Colts beat the Bears in the Superbowl on sunday. I wanted the bears to win but they lost 29-17.  My birhday is tommorow and I going to get a basketball hoop. I also got 3 more jerseys. Now I have 7 and one that says ESPN on the back. I also got a wooden bat for baseball because we can not use metal bats anymore. I got alot of money and some playstation games for my birthday.

My sister's birthday is tommorow the day before the Superbowl. But more importenly my birthday coming up. I want the bears to win the superbowl.  

January 31 2007homwork

       There is always some strange news somewhere and here is one of them. In Alaska a bald eagle was found lugging a deer head but didn't make it over the transmisson lines. So the people in Alaska did not have power for 45 miutes. Unfortunetly the bald eagle died. The Bald eagle was found with the deer head right beside it. That is my strange article I found this week.

           Today we are going to have indoor recess. Later today we are going to visit are second grade buddies. We are going to talk about global warming. At indoor recess I usually play connect four.    

January 25 2007 - Homework

         Today I'm going to write about my class. My class this year is one of the funnest classes I ever had. The reasons it is my favorite class is that kids are funny and have great personalities. Next, we have one of the best teachers and he makes learning fun. He makes funny jokes all the time that some have to with the subject and some that don't. Those are the reasons I like my class.

          Right now my younger sister is getting upset about her homework. She can get annoying sometimes but you get used to it. After this entry I'm going to have to go to bed in about a hour and a half. Bye.     

January 24 2007 - Homework

        I Have alot of favorite things to write about but I chose my favorite baseball team.  My Favorite baseball team is the New York Mets. I think they are the best team in the MLB right now. Another reason I like the Mets is because they are so exciting to watch on T.V and going to a live game are both exciting but I prefer going to the game. It is also exciting because we can get autographs and sometimes we get the best seats right behind home plate. Those are some reasons the New York Mets are my favorite baseball team.

           Yesterday I was very mad at the New York Knicks for letting their opponents go on a 27 - 0 run . They ended up getting crushed by the Miami Heat.  Also, My birthday is coming up soon. It is on Febuary 7. My sisters is on Febuary 4 so we celebrate on the same day.

Finally, I'm getting used to using this wiki. I think  the wiki is pretty cool.

          Last night I witnessed the biggest comeback in in NFL conference game history.The score was 38 - 34 Colts. I was happy because Peyton Manning is finally going to the Superbowl . The other game that was on was not as exciting as the colts game but I still watched it.  I was sad that the Saints got crushed by the Bears.
